Dinky Map Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Snape

Dinky Maps are printed on both sides of an A3 sheet of waterproof paper that folds down to A6 – durable and 4x stronger than paper. Based on Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale cartography, with built up areas enlarged to 1:16,000, they provide a compact map focused on key areas for tourism and outdoor activities.

Aldeburgh, once just a small fishing village, was made famous by composer Benjamin Britain who established the Aldeburgh music festival. In 1967 the festival moved from the Jubilee Hall in the town to the new concert hall at Snape Maltings, which has now become a world class arts venue with shops, restaurants and educational facilities. Thorpeness was mostly built in the early 1900s as a fantasy holiday village with its Meare boating lake and the House in the Clouds folly.
