The Author – Steve Maloney
I’ve been paddling around the Broads for a good number of years now and not only have I always been amazed at how few paddlers I meet on my travels, but also how limited the information about how to access this wonderful resource really is. Since having children I have come to realise the ever increasing importance of places like this, and of encouraging responsible and sustainable use of the outdoors. I grew up with a profound love of the countryside and a desire to explore, thanks to my parents and the effort they put in. I certainly hope to do the same with my kids. The Broads is an amazing landscape filled with a variety of wildlife, rivers, open water, history and legends that can fire the imagination. So, several years and a whole lot of miles later here we are. My only hope is that this guide helps many more people get out there.
