Description
A First World War historical novel that starts in 1926 New York where a much-loved priest in The Bronx has been brutally murdered. With a vagrant arrested for the crime, struggling lawyer Mark Kingsley is roped in to the defence, only to find the accused is his old best friend and fellow-flyer from WW1 days in the Lafayette Flying Corps, but who higher-authority seen strangely determined to convict.
As Kingsley pursues the truth, he finds romance and constant recollection of those wartime years, but also the realization that they hold dark secrets and a connection to one of America’s first and most enduring aviation mysteries.
