Description

When a group of steamboat enthusiasts choose the Norfolk Broads for their annual rally, Ranger Jack Fellows is delighted to be assigned to mentor them.  However, the members of Steambuffs turn out to be as disparate as their classic craft and spooked from the start by a succession of strange visitations.

Could the shades of a two-hundred year-old Broadland steamship disaster really be haunting what was supposed to be a long-weekend of fun?

As pistons hiss and funnel-smoke trails astern, Jack senses impending trouble and, when events turn even darker, realises that nothing and no-one is quite what they seem.

About The Author

Chris Crowther

Chris Crowther spent 42 years flying a variety of aeroplanes and helicopters around the world. It was in West Africa that he renewed his love of writing, spending spare hours on helidecks out in the South Atlantic, penning articles and short stories for magazines and periodicals and, at the same time, working on his first full-length novel, BLADESTRIKE, a thriller eventually published in the U.S.

In 2002, he retired from flying and, for five years, skippered passenger boats on the Norfolk Broads, the setting for the “Jack Fellows” series of whodunnits.

His latest book – PURSUIT – draws on his flying career, having started out on open-cockpit biplanes and flown helicopters overseas with an American expatriate outfit.  The story is set in WW1 where his father was one of the last survivors of the conflict and his front-line memories were another valuable asset to the content.

Now fully-retired except for his writing, Chris spends as much time as possible sailing the rivers and coast with his wife, Sue. Always pleased to hear from readers, he can be contacted here: Contact the Author.
