We have recently established a relationship with Eye Books, who have an interesting range and a few with East Anglian connections. Season is a brilliant idea, conjuring up the atmosphere in the stands during the ups and downs (mostly downs I think) of a Premier League season.  Above the Law takes us into the world of police helicopter operations over East Anglia. Plus two more new novels with local connections.

Season

Norwich City fan George Harrison (no, not that one) relives a season in the Premier League through the eyes of two season ticket holders who just happen to have adjacent seats.  Through 38 chapters, one for each game, the relationship between old and young develops while the season plays out on the pitch.  More than just a story about football, this celebrates the role of sport in the lives of ordinary people and the sense of community it provides.

Above The Law

Above the Law takes us high over the East Anglian landscape in a police helicopter.  Adrian Bleese worked for twelve years as a civilian observer with the Suffolk Police.  In this entertaining book he recounts some of the most intriguing and challenging episodes, ranging from lost walkers to chasing criminals and illegal raves.

Sea Defences

This is a debut novel, a psychological drama, set in a fictional Norfolk coastal town, where the crumbling shoreline threatens homes and a six year old child goes missing on the beach.  Unlikely friendships are formed in the bleak winter along the North Sea coast.

The Low Road - Coming Soon

This new novel starts in Norfolk but ends in Australia.  In the Waveney valley, 1813, Mary Tyrell takes her own life, leaving behind a daughter, Hannah, who is sent to a refuge in London.  Caught for stealing, Hannah is sentenced to transportation.  A gripping atmospheric tale based on real events.
