Local author Christopher Pipe has used his years of experience as both a librarian, indexer and editor to compile a comprehensive history of this popular Norfolk seaside town. With a range of source material from the earliest written records for the village of Shipden in 1086, through a period of great loss of land to the sea and a name change to Cromer, he brings the story up to the 21st century.
With nearly 150 illustrations – photographs, drawings and maps, many not seen in print before – he has written a book that will intrigue those who find enjoyment in local history and exploring the towns and villages of north east Norfolk.
