We’ve just added two more books from Mascot Media’s super range of art compendia aimed at lovers of cats and dogs.

The Printmaker’s Cat was first published in 2015 and was inspired by the author’s observation of the number of artists who seemed to have cats curled up in a corner of their studios. This volume reproduces prints of cats in a multitude of feline poses from 54 British artists.  Each artist explains a little about their process and their relationship with cats.

The companion volume, Paw Prints, came along in 2019 and includes art from 76 printmakers.  In a similar format to The Printmaker’s Cat, author Alan Marshall provides a brief history of the work of each artist alongside reproductions of their work illustrating dogs.

As always with Mascot Media, these are beautifully produced books, printed on quality paper, and would make a great present for any dog or cat lover.
