Please place any urgent orders by the 8th February

Exciting news (for us anyway) is that Bittern Books is moving to new, larger premises.  Our present stock room is bursting at the seams as we have taken on more new titles than we’ve got room for, and our packing area is squeezed between piles of cardboard boxes.  As we have now sold our other business (the village shop and Post Office in Coltishall), we decided that this is a good time to relocate.

As a result we will be unable to ship orders from the 9th February until approximately the 21st, but any orders received by the 8th will definitely be shipped, subject to stock availability – we are out of a few titles as we have been deliberately running our stock levels down to facilitate the move.  Our telephone and email will remain the same, and of course our website is always available for ordering.  Any orders placed during our shutdown period will be shipped as soon as possible once we have our stock unpacked.

We will be closed from the 9th to the 21st February.

I hope our shutdown will not cause too much inconvenience, and if all goes well we will be up and running and fully stocked ready for the end of lockdown and the start of what promises to be a busy tourist season.  I’m also very much looking forward to having more time to visit our wholesale customers around the region.
